Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod discussed cooperation

Belarus and Nizhny Novgorod Region intend to cooperate in shipbuilding and machine-tool construction. This was discussed at a meeting of the Business Cooperation Council in Minsk. Collaboration in the supply of automotive components is also developing. The region is one of the largest centres of machine building. Belarusian enterprises have already supplied the region with units and assemblies worth Rub1.8 bln this year. They also discussed a number of new areas of cooperation. Among them are the possible production of emergency rescue equipment and the revival of Belarusian competences and potential in shipbuilding.
