It is planned to open assembly facilities for Belarusian machinery in Algeria

A MAZ assembly plant may be set up in Algeria. This was announced following the first meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. It was held in Minsk. Today the trade turnover between Belarus and Algeria is about $50 mln. It has increased 16 times compared to 2023. The potential for growth is high, and there is interest in restoring the production of Belarusian MTZ tractors in Algeria, as well as the assembly of BelAZ front loaders. The partners have already signed the minutes of the meeting, which outline the priority areas for new projects. This is the first important step in the development of further cooperation.
