In Brest region, some farms selectively start field works

Malorita district’s agricultural companies "Gvoznitsa", "Cherniany", "Savushkino", "Hotislavski" start applying organic fertilizers. Two districts have started plowing, 5 farms in Malorita district and 1 in Zhabinka district. The works are carried out in favorable weather conditions. Mineral fertilizers are also being applied in Malorita and Zhabinka districts. Malorita district has started potassium fertilizers for perennial grasses. According to experts, the weather conditions are favorable for wintering crops. Farmers hope that February will not have a negative impact. In Brest region, winter crops were sown on 253.5 thousand hectares. The area has been increased by 11 thousand hectares. 102 thousand hectares are planned for spring sowing of early cereals and legumes, and 43 thousand hectares for corn.
