In 9 months of 2024, GDP of Belarus grew by 4.5%
Increase competitiveness and innovativeness of the Belarusian economy. The government has named the key areas of development. Thus, the emphasis will be placed on deepening the processing of local raw materials, import substitution and integration projects with Russia. Active development of these areas, among others, will allow the economy, which, by the way, has been growing at a rate higher than the world one for the last 2 years, not to slow down the previously set pace. GDP for 9 months added 4.5%, the plus to the level of the last year in industry is much more noticeable — it is almost 6.5%. The demand for products has allowed to load up capacities and increase sales, including on the world markets. The government also outlined the areas of work for the next 5 years. They are based on technological leadership and specialisation of industries, accelerated digital transformation, addressing demographic issues, development of human resources and regions.
