Harvesting and processing of sugar beets

Agricultural organizations of Belarus are accelerating the pace of autumn field work. Special attention is paid to sugar beets. Its harvest will be at least 5 million tons. In the Minsk region, the sweet root crop is actively harvested by farmers of the Nesvizh district. In the agricultural complex "Snov" they receive an average of 800 centners per hectare – one of the best results in the country. Sugar beet from the fields of four regions of Belarus is brought to the Gorodeya sugar factory. It is planned to produce 150 thousand tons of sugar here. In addition to traditional products, they also produce fruit and berries. Among the new products are not only jams and juices, but also popular types of toppings.
