Fodder harvesting season underway in Belarus

The farms in Minsk region have already harvested one fifth of grass of the first crop. More than 220 thousand tons of haylage have been stocked in the south of the region. In Nesvizh, Slutsk and Kletsk districts, the mowing season has crossed the equator. "Krasnaya Zvezda" breeding plant is harvesting alfalfa. This fodder is rich in protein. Most of the machinery is now out in the fields. During the first crop alone fodder grasses from across the area of 300 thousand hectares will have been harvested in Minsk region.
