First million tons of peat mined in Belarus since the beginning of the year

Dry weather has a positive effect on the work of the peat-mining energy sector. In total, there are 15 enterprises in the structure of the production association "Beltopgaz". Five of which are located in the Minsk region. Their contribution exceeded 300 thousand tons of peat. Such a local type of fuel in the energy sector is in demand both in private households, industry, and in boiler houses of the housing and communal services. Soils for gardeners and farmers are also made from raw materials extracted from peatlands. Products from Belarusian peat are also exported.
