Expanding cooperation with Rosatom
Belarus will be one of the links in a wide network of Rosatom projects on the territory of the Union State. This was stated by Belarus Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko at a meeting with the head of the Rosatom corporation Alexei Likhachev. The parties talked about the implementation of a project to build a nuclear power plant and other areas of further cooperation, e.g. nuclear medicine, additive technologies, energy storage, and digitalization. The head of government noted that work at the nuclear power plant is proceeding as planned. The final test is the integrated use of the second power unit at the maximum possible output for two weeks. The first block is already in full operation and is a serious contribution to the energy supply of Belarus. The Russian state corporation has prepared a whole block of project proposals for discussion. One of them is the construction of a gigafactory in the Kaliningrad region and Belarusian companies’ participation in it. Cooperation on 3D printers and storage devices was also discussed.
