Energy intensity of Belarus' GDP reduced 4.4 times over 30 years

Issues of energy saving have been paid attention to in Belarus for 30 years. Due to the measures taken, the energy intensity of the GDP has reduced 4.4 times. Deputy Chairman of the State standardization committee, director of Energy efficiency department Vitaly Kretsky told this at a press conference. The use of modern scientific and technical developments, equipment and materials allowed Belarus to build its own system of work in this direction. Over the entire period of work, 5 state energy saving programs have been successfully completed, and the sixth is currently being implemented.
