Cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan was discussed at the Minsk Region Executive Committee. The head of the region, Alexander Turchin, met with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nazarov. The parties confirmed their interest in expanding trade, economic, humanitarian, and cultural ties. Among the main areas of cooperation are timber processing, mechanical engineering, and the agro-industrial complex. Due to the growing population of Uzbekistan, there is a special interest in Belarusian meat and dairy products.
