Budget 2023 passed "zero reading"

The budget for 2023 has been drafted. The document has passed the "zero reading" at the Parliament. This is a traditional format to discuss main financial documents. It precedes the budget voting in the Parliament’s Oval hall. The Prime minister presented the results of scrutinous calculations. The next year’s budget will have a deficit – its expenditures will exceed incomes by 3 billion rubles (about 1 billion 200 million dollars). The budget will keep its social orientation. Expenditures for health care, education, social protection will grow. More funds are planned to be allocated for pension coverage.
