Brest region first to start harvest

Harvesting has started in Pruzhany, Bereza and Zhabinka districts. Combine harvesters are harvesting winter barley, which ripened earlier this year than usual. The beginning of the harvest season was celebrated with the traditional folk holiday "Zazhinki" at the Rogoznyansky farm. The grain ears were manually collected into the first sheaf, and then the machine operators went out into the open field of grain. In total, almost 1,400 combine harvesters will be used for grain harvesting in Brest region. Now the equipment goes into the fields as the crop ripes. At the same time, the farms are harvesting fodder.
