Breeding of valuable fish species to be increased in Belarus
05.07.2023
2 new complexes for breeding valuable fish species are planned to be built in Belarus. As noted in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, both complexes will be located in the Mogilev region. The production capacity will allow to produce 1 thousand tons of products per year. This will reduce imports, and prices in stores will become more affordable for buyers. In total, there are 16 fish farms in Belarus. They produce about 15 thousand tons of fish per year, of which about 500 tons are valuable species: trout, sturgeon and catfish.
