Birch sap collection season in Belarus

Belarusian birch is served to the table in different parts of the world — from EU countries to Asia. About 20 enterprises work for the domestic and foreign market. This season it is planned to process more than 14.000 tonnes of birch sap. To have time to stock up on the invigorating drink, there are literally a few weeks until the tree starts budding — then the collection will stop. Points of sale of the wholesome juice are organised all over the country. The juice can also be bought directly through forestry organisations. In the capital, it is sold in five places.
