Belarusian vegetable growers — on guard of food security
14.02.2025
Belarus has fully met the domestic market demand for cucumbers in the off-season. This was stated today by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during his visit to the farm "Rassvet" in Kirov district, Mogilev region. The strategy for the development of greenhouse vegetable growing until 2027 is under the prime minister's personal control. Today they talked about the profitability of production and prices for customers. Since cucumbers have become affordable, their consumption has increased more than one and a half times. We have managed to sell part of the production for export. We plan to continue building modern greenhouses and increase the volume of domestic tomatoes, peppers and aubergines.
