Belarusian initiatives in the EAEU
02.02.2024
The initiative of the President of Belarus to hold a summit of the EAEU, SCO, and BRICS is more relevant than ever at the current historical stage. Minsk hopes that the Eurasian Commission will continue to work on this issue. Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko announced this at a meeting of the EAEU Intergovernmental Council in Almaty. Particular attention is paid to joint integration projects. The selection and financing mechanism has been approved. The Belarusian side hopes that it will be launched this year and that funding will be disbursed in 2024-2025. Belarus offers its partners a Eurasian electric bus. Trade turnover between Belarus and all EAEU countries last year increased by almost 7.5% and amounted to about $46 billion.
