Belarusian farmers plan to ensure gross harvest of at least 10 million tons this year
18.03.2024
The machine park is 93.5% ready for mass sowing. This is 5% higher than a year earlier. In 2023, almost 10 thousand units of equipment were purchased. Farms received new harvesters, forage harvesters and soil-cultivating equipment. According to Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zaits, this allows all types of field work to be carried out more quickly. As for seeds, the majority is of Belarusian selection. Only some crops are imported. The current campaign in Belarus will involve 32,700 people. In addition to farm workers, 3,000 people will be recruited from industrial enterprises and forestry enterprises.
