Belarusian agrarians continue mass potato harvesting

Agricultural organizations of Belarus have already harvested 56% of the areas occupied by potatoes. 310.000 tonnes have been harvested with an average yield of 317 c/ha. The largest areas for potatoes are allocated in Minsk and Brest regions. It is planned to finish harvesting by 14 October. About 4 mln tonnes of potatoes are produced annually in households of all categories. Of which 70% is provided by private subsidiary farms. Potatoes are an export-oriented crop for our country. "Second bread" is supplied to Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Uzbekistan and other countries.
