Belarus will award government prizes for special achievements in various spheres of the economy

Applications started to be accepted on 1 January. The Government Award is designed to assess the personal contribution of a particular employee or labour collective to the common goal — the development of the economy of the whole country. Applications can be submitted until 1 April. Then they will be selected at the local level, then — in the Ministry of Economy, after which they will be sent to the government. Four winners will be selected in two categories. The prize is 1.000 basic units, which today amounts to Br42.000. The best will be honoured in the fourth quarter. The first awarding is announced for the end of 2025. It is planned that the Award will become annual.
