Belarus is harvesting the "second bread" crop
Belarusian agrarians are harvesting potatoes. By the way, this year's harvest will exceed 1 mln tonnes. The reserves of the domestic market will be more than enough. One third of the volume is exported to more than a dozen countries. Thus, the potatoes, which are being dug these days in the fields of the agricultural organization Ozeritsky-Agro in Minsk region, will be sent to Russia, Serbia and Macedonia. Every day, about 400 tonnes of potatoes of the new harvest are put into the storage facilities. Part of it is packed in nets for retail chains, while the bulk of it for — long-term storage. Minsk region is also developing deep processing of our "second bread". In Stolbtsy potato flakes are produced, in Maryina Gorka — mashed potatoes, crisps and snacks.
