Belarus increasing production and use of wood pellets
15.05.2024
The housing and utilities sector is looking at this type of fuel. House owners are also interested in it, as it is possible to get heating and hot water thanks to burning pellets. But compared to gas-heating equipment, it is many times more expensive. That is why the government will offer a subsidy to the owners of pellet boilers. There are already such examples in Belarus. Today, Borisov forestry already supplies wood pellets for the domestic industry. There are prospects for export sales as companies from Central Asia, China, and Turkey are ready to buy this product. In Minsk region, 154 heat sources use pellets. This year it is planned to build 61 more facilities.
