Belarus develops cooperation with Smolensk region of Russia

Prospects of cooperation between Belarus and the Smolensk region of Russia are discussed in the Vitebsk region of Belarus. The Russian delegation’s itinerary includes Orsha flax factory, logistics complex, as well as the complex engineering center in the area of water supply and disposal. Over the past year, the trade turnover between Belarus and the Smolensk region made $4.4 billion. From the beginning of 2024, export of Belarusian passenger and cargo vehicles, textiles, machine tools to the Smolensk region activated noticeably. Most efficient variants of interaction are under development; there is a need in formation of a long-term mechanism between producers of goods and logistics companies. Tourism and children’s recreation are among the avenues which need promotion.
