Belarus developing cooperation with Tyumen region of Russia
The parties discuss increasing supplies of passenger, agricultural and municipal machinery as well as expanding exports of food and light industry goods. Negotiations of concerned ministries, agencies and business circles held in Minsk confirmed mutual interest. A large delegation from Siberia visited a number of Belarusian enterprises, the Great Stone Industrial Park and the High Technology Park. The parties intend to work on setting up new joint ventures and, in the long term, to enter the markets of third countries. Machine building, agricultural industry, light industry, petrochemicals and power engineering are among priorities. Ties will also become stronger in the humanitarian sphere, science, education and sports. The working group meeting resulted in signing of a number of documents. These are new partnership agreements between the cities and districts of Belarus and Russia’s Tyumen region.
