Belarus and Samara region will develop cooperation projects in mechanical engineering

A large-scale forum-meeting was held in Samara with the leaders of the Minsk Automobile Plant and representatives of MAZ dealer and service organizations from all over Russia. The main theme is import substitution. Since 2019, the Joint Product program has been operating between the countries. This is when Russian bodies and various trailers for municipal and road construction equipment are installed on the basis of the MAZ chassis. The Belarusian company cooperates with 37 Russian plants and such cooperation has allowed our machinery to take a leading position in the Russian market. In Samara, they are well acquainted with Belarusian buses. Over the past 10 years, about 500 units have been delivered. This year they plan to buy another fifty. In addition, Belarus and the Samara region are interested in joint projects in metallurgy, chemical production, construction, agriculture and space development.
