Belarus and Russia to set up common energy market

The Union State of Belarus and Russia is entering a new stage of global economic integration. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order to set up a common energy market. The corresponding document was published on the portal of legal information. In February this year, it became known that the draft interstate agreement on the formation of the common market had been prepared, agreed and passed the internal approval procedures. It is planned that at the first stage trade in electricity will be carried out between authorized legal entities. On the Belarusian side, it is Belenergo. The second stage envisages deeper integration with the expansion of market participants and organization of a common technological process.
