Belarus and Russia’s Orenburg region strengthening cooperation
The parties have signed an agreement between the governments on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. Belarus is among the top three foreign trade partners of this Russian region. And mutual trade is growing. Today more than 130 enterprises from the Orenburg region supply products to our market. Last year alone their number almost doubled. Production of elevators, supply of mineral fertilizers, design of dairy farms – Belarusian competences in these areas are being actively developed now. We supply agricultural machinery to this market. There are about 16 thousand tractors in the region, more than half of them are made by Belarus’ MTZ company. Belarus-based Gomselmash will also supply more machinery to the Orenburg region. A corresponding agreement has been signed, and next year it is planned to export at least a hundred machines. During the stay in Belarus, the Russian delegation visited a number of factories, and not only in the industrial sector. The program also includes agricultural enterprises, transport complex, educational institutions and a number of other locations.
