Belarus and Nicaragua sign contracts worth $85 million

The main result of the official visit of the Belarusian government delegation to Nicaragua was the signing of contracts. The amount of $85 million is the first step towards greater economic bilateral cooperation. The moment is historic, because such large deals have been concluded in Central America for the first time. A meeting Laureano Facundo Ortega Murillo, Nicaragua's Presidential Adviser on Investment, Trade and International Cooperation, was held as part of the official visit of Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko to Nicaragua. Agreements were signed and a certificate for emergency aid was handed over. Nicaragua also received five grants for its students to study at Belarusian universities.
