Belarus and Kazakhstan considering possibility of holding Forum of Regions

According to the Ambassador of Belarus to Kazakhstan, this will give an additional impetus to intensify bilateral cooperation between the countries. Minsk and Astana have strong economic ties. Thanks to the efforts of the Presidents of the two states, relations between our countries are improving. Trade turnover remains stable at $1 billion. The trends of recent years are cooperation projects. Three assembly plants of Belarusian tractors have been launched in Kazakhstan. The emphasis is now on localization of products, including combines, elevators, agricultural machinery and fire fighting equipment. Over 270 branded stores of Belarusian products are open throughout the country. Belarusian building materials, furniture, and light industrial goods are in high demand. The parties are also working to expand the flight program. In June, 6 Minsk-Astana flights per week will be added. Negotiations are underway to open a direct flight Minsk-Almaty.
