Allied response to sanctions
"The development of union integration of Minsk and Moscow will provide an effective response to the economic pressure from the collective West", the Prime Minister of Belarus said today at a meeting with his Russian counterpart in Moscow. Our countries are not only successfully resisting sanctions, but are also strengthening cooperation in all areas. This is evidenced by the growth in trade. It is expected that by the end of the year it will reach a record value for the allies – about $45 billion. Belarus and Russia are taking coordinated measures to strengthen their economic security. This includes accelerating the implementation of 28 union programs. As the Russian Prime Minister noted, more than half of all planned activities have already been completed.
