Agricultural enterprises in Belarus completing spring sowing

The farmers have already sown 80% of the planned acreage. More than half of areas under potato have been planted as well. Corn sowing is nearing completion. Slutsk district of Minsk region alone allocated 25 thousand hectares for corn and silage. Slutsk Cheese Plant’s farm is sowing corn strictly according to the technology. It has a large dairy herd, so the focus is on plants rich in protein and vitamins. The overall objective for all agricultural enterprises is to finish sowing of all spring crops by May 20. At the same time the first grass will be cut in the southern districts of Minsk region.
