About 2 million square meters of all-electric housing are planned to be built in Belarus within five years. One of the key tasks is the electrification of the housing stock. The work is carried out in three main directions. First of all it is the construction of new multi-apartment all-electric homes. The second direction is the conversion of the multifamily housing stock from the use of solid fuel to electricity for heating. Schedules have been drawn up for five years, and they include about 100 such houses in different regions of the country. And the third direction is the conversion of individual housing stock to electricity for heating and hot water. In January – November 2022 energy supplying organizations received 20.9 thousand such applications, of which 84% were satisfied.
