A farm in the Minsk region is engaged in the cultivation of hazelnuts
04.11.2022
The largest nut farm in Belarus is finishing harvesting. On a plantation of 75 hectares near Molodechno, for the fourth year in a row, hazelnuts of the Catalan variety have been grown. Last year the entire harvest was two tons, this year it is already 10 tons. Nuts are harvested directly from the ground. So far by hand, but the farm is thinking about mechanization. The project itself is a classic startup with an investor and its own brand. One of its goals is to form a new culture of nut consumption in Belarus. Farmers plan to establish cooperation with trade and confectionery factories, as well as to export. In the future, they also want to set up processing of nut paste and oil.
