30th anniversary of the Belarusian Ministry of Industry
The system of the Ministry of Industry includes dozens of enterprises — BelAZ, MTZ, MAZ, Gomselmash and other world-famous brands that we managed to preserve from the Soviet times. Despite the external challenges, the enterprises are developing today, working steadily and bringing good profits to the country. The industrial sector forms more than a quarter of the country's GDP. Approximately the same share is in the number of people employed in this sphere: almost 900.000 people work at the production facilities. For 8 months of the current year the volume of industrial production increased by 7% and has exceeded Br133 bln. The industrial sector earns money from exports. The geography counts 60 countries. Special emphasis is placed on the countries of the far arc.
