17.04.2023
The sowing campaign in Belarus is gaining momentum. The works are actively going on in all regions of the country. Early cereals and leguminous crops have already been sown on more than 40% of the acreage. This year croplands under winter barley increased threefold as compared with 2022. They amount to 170 thousand hectares. All the crops have wintered well and now it is necessary to conduct comprehensive care and fertilizing. More acreage was allocated for wintering and spring rape to get a million tons of oilseeds of this crop. Distribution of land for other crops has been revised, too. For instance, croplands for sugar beets will be increased by 8 thousand hectares.
