Poland’s actions, aimed at escalating tensions in the region, have provoked a decisive response from Belarus.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus lodged a protest against Poland’s decision to expel a Belarusian diplomat. This step is viewed as a coordinated provocation with the Czech side, intended to aggravate both bilateral and regional relations. Belarus’ decision on reciprocal measures will be announced in the near future.
In addition, the Belarusian MFA protested Poland’s suspension of border traffic during the “Zapad-2025” exercises. These measures affect the entire EU-Belarus border, significantly disrupting the international movement of people and goods and causing harm to countries both in the East and the West.
This constitutes an abuse of geographic position, contributing to rising tensions and undermining stability and predictability in international relations.
Belarus emphasizes that its military exercises are fully transparent to the international community, and the temporary suspension of border crossings appears aimed more at concealing Poland’s own actions than addressing any genuine threat.
