The XII International Christmas Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament for the Prize of the President of Belarus - will launch tonight in Minsk to feature eight teams competing for the main prize. The winner will be determined on 7 January. All the participants have already arrived in Minsk and held the first training sessions.<br>Today will see the first group stage games. Belarus" first opponent in Group A will be Switzerland. The match will take place at Chizhovka Arena at 19:00 to be preceded by the opening ceremony an hour earlier. Admission to the ceremony and matches is free.<br>The team of the Belarusian President has won the tournament eight times. The Russian national team celebrated success thrice. Last year, the Russians defeated the Belarusians in the final with the score of 2:0.
