K. Maskevich and P. Glinchuk achieve the best-ever result for Greco-Roman wrestling in sovereign Belarus

Belarusian Greco-Roman wrestlers have returned home in triumph following their performance at the World Championships in Astana. At the season's premier event, K. Maskevich won a gold medal in the 97 kg weight class, while P. Glinchuk secured a bronze medal in the 130 kg category. The wrestlers were welcomed at Minsk National Airport by family, friends, and colleagues. With the conclusion of the Greco-Roman and women's wrestling tournaments, the Belarusian team has brought home a total of four medals from the world championships in Astana. On 29 October, the freestyle wrestling competition began, with athletes set to compete through 1 November.
