This year, 507 swimmers participated in the Belarusian Championship, a record for the country. The event is taking place in the capital's international-standard swimming pool. In addition to local swimmers, athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are competing. The competition will serve as a qualifier: athletes have the opportunity to qualify for the World Championship, which will be held in China from 1 to 6 December. Seven Belarusian swimmers have already qualified for the world championship in other competitions.
