Zhirovichi Monastery to mark its 500th anniversary

The Zhirovichi Monastery is going to mark its 500th anniversary. Also there are plans to celebrate the 550th anniversary of the discovery of the miraculous Icon of the Mother of God in May 2020. The preparations for the celebrations should be completed by May 1. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko at a session of the republican organizing committee for preparing and holding the events. Currently, work is underway on restoration, reconstruction and improvement of relevant objects in Zhirovichi.
