Remains of Red Army soldiers solemnly reburied in Grodno

The remains of about two thousand Red Army soldiers have been solemnly reburied today in Grodno at the memorial complex.The remains were exhumed on the site of the former prisoner of war camp. The search operation has been conducted here since 2008. During all this time the remains of more than four thousand people were found here who had been killed and died of wounds in captivity. The identity of 20 people has been established. The work on historic sites in the Grodno region will last until the end of October.
