Belarus was the first country in Europe that managed to reduce the transmission of HIV and tuberculosis to a level that does not pose a threat to public health. It became known today at a large medical forum in Minsk. Representatives of ministries of health of 12 countries in Eastern Europe and Asia have signed an agreement on HIV and tuberculosis, which provides increased access to quality and affordable drugs. Also foreign partners were awarded at the forum with the Medal of Francysk Skaryna and a merit certificate of the Belarusian Council of Ministers.
