Belarus is launching the large-scale project in the field of medicine and public health Belmed aimed at preventing non-communicable diseases, promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting the modernisation of the health care system. So-called healthy cities will be established in the country based on the best practices and international experience. Also, funds will go to fighting breast cancer, as well as to reducing and preventing child injuries.The total amount of the project funding allocated by the EU and UN agencies exceeds 4 million dollars.
