Last analogue TV transmitters to be disconnected in Belarus today

04.01.2016
The last analogue TV transmitters will be disconnected in Belarus today. In accordance with the Geneva 2006 Agreement, Belarus switched to digital television broadcasting on May 15, thus fulfilling its obligations in this area. However, there were analogue frequencies not subject to the Geneva Agreement. Currently the country is home to 94 transmitting stations providing digital broadcasting of a public TV package.
