Uprising Square in regional center Gomel is the place where transit camps for Soviet prisoners of war were located during the Great Patriotic War (World war – II). It will be completely restored. The square and the park will be combined into a complete composition. Everything will be transformed – from landscape design to traffic patterns, new elements will be added. A memorial sign will be erected to the victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people. A pedestal for laying flowers will be placed next to the three-meter patinated sculpture, a walking area will be landscaped, and red maples will be planted along the perimeter of the park – a symbol of perseverance and indestructibility of their spirit. The T-34 tank will return to its restored pedestal. Particular importance will be given to lighting.
