University enrollment for state-financed tuition

The university enrollment campaign in Belarus sums up interim results. IT, law, chemistry and biology are still the top picks among applicants. Traditionally, these also see the toughest competition with 3 to 5 applicants per position. But for certain technical majors where the core subject is, for example, physics, an extra selection may be announced later. Applications for fee-based education can be filed until August 9. Lists of those selected for state-financed tuition will be published on August 5, those for fee-based education – on August 11 The total planned number of new students to be admitted is almost 55 thousand people.
