Two bridges of Minsk ring road closed for repairs

Two bridges of the Minsk ring road are closed off. One of them is in the inner ring above the railroad near Frantsysk Skaryna street. The other one is located in the outer ring above the railway tracks near the turn to the Belarusian State University. The repairs are necessitated by safety considerations. The overpasses were constructed in the 1980s. The structures have exhausted their resources and will be replaced with new ones. For the time of the repair works the traffic on the 3rd kilometer the ring road will be channeled along the outer ring. At the 25th kilometer, the vehicles will be directed to the inner ring. Two overpasses will open by the end of May ahead of the second European Games. Later the repairs will continue. The work is to be completed by the end of the year.
