Lithuania has partially opened its border. The queue of passenger cars has shortened. However, trucks remain idle. The border has long been a bargaining chip for the European Union. Neighbors have regularly closed the border with Belarus under various pretexts. This time, the closure was prompted by either weather balloons in the sky over Vilnius Airport or a security conference in Minsk. Meanwhile, the day before, Poland announced it was considering opening more border crossings with Belarus. Donald Tusk announced that Poland will be ready to open two border crossings — in Bobrowniki and Kuźnica — by the end of November.
