Belarusians do not need to use filters for water purification, said Irina Zhevniak, department head from the National Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health. Over the past 10 years, only about 1% of microbiological samples from public water supply have been found to not conform with the standards. After all, almost the entire country gets water from underground sources. And this autumn Belarus will host the International Water Forum. Experts will discuss ways to improve quality of drinking water and purification technologies.
