Today is World Cancer Day

February 4 is the World Cancer Day. The international day calls for more attention to the problem of malignant tumors. Thanks to the screening and early diagnosis programs operating in the country, as well as latest developments in high-tech treatment, Belarusian oncology occupies one of the leading positions in the CIS and Eastern Europe, and in some areas it's the world leader. Almost 13 thousand lives were saved in Belarus over the past five years. The nearest plans include expanding screening programs for early diagnosis and creating vaccines against cancer.
