The presidential election campaign in Belarus is gaining pace

The Central Election Commission registered the first initiative group of Aleksandr Lukashenko. The day before, the CEC received the documents on registration of the initiative group in support of Oleg Gaidukevich as a presidential candidate. According to the legislation, the CEC should consider the documents and make a decision within 5 days. The registration of initiative groups will continue until 1 November inclusive. From 7 November they can start collecting signatures.
